So, I love me some black metal with atmosphere and None are capable of creating some serious atmosphere on their sophomore effort. But the problem I found with the album was the repetition of the riffs and the glaring inconsistencies throughout the album. You'll get riffs that sound really well-fleshed out that is then followed by a riff that sounds like it was written by a new guitarist just noodling around for the first time. The vocals are pretty solid but then these weird half whisper, half spoken word portions come in and throw everything off kilter. There are some decent songs on the album but as a whole the album just really suffers from excessive sections of instrumentation that just plods along.

None's second album of depressive, suicidal black metal, 'Life Has Gone On Long Enough', is another impressive outing from this mysterious one-man BM band from Portland Oregon. From the beautiful acoustic passages to the louder riffs that spew pain and dread, this album does the genre proud! Songs like "A World, Dead and Gray", "Hypoxic", and the title track, set a cold and desolate scene that mirror a bleak reality of darkness. The songs are long, full of emotions and will leave you feeling empty inside. The production is slightly better than the s/t album from last year but it is perfect for this music.
