Driving, melodic death metal that makes you wanna destroy stuff
Micawber just gave me fuel for headbanging for weeks on end. Driving, gritty riffs that just ooze groove and grime abound on this album. There wasn't a point while listening to this one that my head wasn't bouncing, my feet weren't tapping or my air guitar wasn't shredding. In addition to the riffing, the band knows when to pull back the heavy and inject in a dose of melody and a well placed guitar solo. The vocals are a great mix of deathcore styled growls and high end grindcore screams. The production couldn't have been better, with everything sounding compact and ready to explode at the moment of impact on your eardrum. This one is fun as hell and is one of the biggest surprises of 2018 for me so far.
