Modern melodic thrash
English thrash outfit The More I See have released their fourth album. "The Disappearing Humans", produced by Scott Atkins (Cradle of Filth, Amon Amarth) and mastered at renowned Abbey Road Studios by Stevve Rooke (Beatles, Status Quo). With talented guitarist Gizz Butt (War Dance, The Prodigy, Sabbat) wielding his axe, The More I See offer up a ferocious stock of modern melodic thrash. Vocalist/guitarist James Cluer belts out like a semblance of James Hetfield and Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age). Cluer's vocal's accent each song perfectly, providing a great mix of emotion and spite as necessary. The guitar work of Butt and Cluer is a good combination of groove and speed. Songs like "Spirit of Freedom" and "Rise Up and Start" have some superb riffs and hooks, with the prior having some of the fastest staccato guitar picking I've ever heard. With the teaser we were given (four songs), I was left desperately wanting to hear more of this album. If you're a fan of thrash and great guitar work, you should definitely check this album out.
