Most bands tend to slow down from album to album through their creative history. Given the number of rowdy songs on their last CD, I expected Sister Sin to be a lot calmer and heading towards more melodic, pop territories on True Sound of the Underground. Surprisingly, they went the opposite--all the songs burst with the balls-out, Sunset Strip energy that the Swedes have embraced. Vocal-mad Liv is frenetic enough to roughhouse with any guy out there. No points for originality, but if their studio goal was to rock out harder than before, then they've succeeded. Sister Sin will leave you feeling alive and wired. Bring on the gang vocals!
